The present invention relates to a device for covering the foot-control gear-change lever (3) (or selector) in motorcycles. The invention relates to a device (12,14,16,18) used for reducing the wear and colour fading of the top of the left shoe due to a repeated use of the selector when changing gear. The device uses a sleeve (12,14,16,18) made of a fabric that can have the following characteristics: non-flammable, water-proof, elastic, with or without a closing system or fixations (15, 17, 19A, 19B).
