<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light-weight time-of-flight mass spectroscope capable of preventing temperature drift in a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The time-of-flight mass spectroscope is provided with an outside ion source, a space in which ion generated at the outer source is made to stay, an ion storage constituted of an ion pushing-out plate which are oppositely arranged interposing the space and a grid for taking out ions in pulsating acceleration from the space, a time-of-flight spectroscopic part including a flight tube inside which the taken-out ions through the grid fly, and an ion detector for detecting ions emitted from the time-of-flight spectroscopic part. The flight tube is made of a first metal, and a wall part constituting at least one end of the flight tube has a slidable mating structure so that expansion and contraction of the flight tube in the axis direction thereof due to temperature change can be absorbed, and a frame member defining a flight distance of ion in the flight tube by holding the flight tube is structured of a second metal with a smaller linear expansion coefficient than the first metal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
