PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to quickly and accurately perform access to BCA. SOLUTION: In this optical disk device, in a step S1 to S8, a CPU controls an optical pickup, reads the address of a position of a beam spot on a first layer of a disk composing a multi-layers system disk, calculates seek quantity for the access to BCA provided on the multi-layer system disk on the basis of the read address, moves the radial position of the beam spot on the basis of the calculated seek quantity by controlling the optical pickup, and moves the position of the beam spot to the other layer of the disk by controlling the optical pickup, a focus control circuit, a tracking control circuit or the like.
