PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device wherein cross capacity between a data line and a gate line is made small. SOLUTION: The organic EL display device has, for each pixel defined by making the data line 12 and the gate line 11 cross each other, an organic EL element 24 driven by a thin film transistor. The data line 12 is formed on a passivation film on the thin film transistor. The data line 12 is composed of a material which is also used for the cathode (or anode) of the organic EL element, and is simultaneously formed in the same layer as the cathode (or anode) of the organic EL element.
