PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a target detection device having improved anti-disturbance for detecting a detection target without losing its sight when detection disturbance occurs from the detection target. SOLUTION: This target detection device 100 is equipped with an image sensor 10 for imaging the target, a tilt mechanism 20 for tilting the imaging face of the image sensor 10 at a fixed angle, and a signal processing device 30 for acquiring position information of the target based on an output signal from the image sensor 10. The signal processing device 30 drives the tilt mechanism 20 when light having an intensity exceeding a light detection level of the image sensor 10 enters the imaging face of the image sensor 10, changes an angle formed between the imaging face of the image sensor 10 and the incident direction of the incident light, and acquires the position information of the target from a relation between the angle and the intensity of the incident light.
