PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crash sensing method which uses a crash sensor with a simple structure being further hard to be affected by temperature changes, enables a remote administrative department to always grasp the harm from the outside such as crashing a vehicle or the like into a railway elevated bridge, and grasps the safety of a railway elevated bridge structure in real time. SOLUTION: The crash sensor 8 is composed of a flexible pipe 9 on which a pressure sensor 10 and a temperature sensor 11 are disposed. Furthermore, a compensating means is provided for compensating a threshold of crash sensing in response to a temperature in the pipe 9, and when the internal pressure of the pipe 9 exceeds the threshold, such the judgement that a harm impact is applied to the elevated bridge from the outside is made and transmitted to the administrative department by using a communication means. Therefore, the crash of the vehicle or the like causing a large harm impact to affect the elevated bridge from the outside can be notified by the administrative department appropriately and automatically under a proper threshold control responding to the temperature, without being accompanied by any incorrect operation in the pressure sensing due to disturbances of travelling vibrations of trains.
