PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid cleaning agent composition containing a hydrophobic organic solvent, which is safe and has excellent detergency and which is stable notwithstanding much water content. SOLUTION: The liquid cleaning agent composition is characterized by comprising a specific compound (a) having a 3-11C alkyl or alkenyl group and a 4-30C group having 2-10 hydroxyl groups, the hydrophobic organic solvent (b) which is liquid at 20°C and water (c), provided that (b)/(c)=0.05/9.95-4/6 (mass ratio) and (b)+(c)=50-99 mass%.
