PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the cycle of the sending out of each workpiece from the terminal side of a parts feeder, shorten a suction time for workpieces by suction pipes, and prevent damage to workpieces by accurately detecting the positions of the workpieces sucked by the suction pipes. SOLUTION: This workpiece transfer apparatus 10 comprises workpiece charging holes 8 and the suction pipes 2 arranged on a circular sucking and sending-out machine 6 in the circumferential direction A of a rotating body 7 of a circular shape when viewed from side. The suction of the workpiece W by the suction pipe 2 and the release of the suction are detected by a suction detection sensor 1 by using an air pressure variation value. The workpiece transfer apparatus also comprises a control part 11 which guides a workpiece W charged into the workpiece charging hole 8 by a guide part 9, and after the workpiece W starts to be guided by the guide part 9, so performs the suction release control as to release the suction of the workpiece W by the suction pipe 2.
