<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swab (1) having no self-dusting properties and equal to a conventional swab in water absorption amount and water absorption speed, that is, a swab causing no falling-off and having a good liquid absorbing capacity, a swab (2) flexible in the contact part provided to the leading end of its shaft part, giving no damage to a living body part and not damaged by load when used and a swab (3) prevented from the falling-off of the contact part from its shaft part, eluting no harmful substance and capable of being also subjected to sterilization/incineration operation. <P>SOLUTION: The swab is composed of the shaft part and the contact part provided to the leading end of the shaft part and the contact part comprises a hydrophilic continuous porous member formed of an olefinic thermoplastic resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
