<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical member which uniformizes the luminance distribution of light radiated on liquid crystal panel, when applied to a direct backlight unit, gives a desired front face luminance and contributes to make a liquid crystal apparatus thinner and to reduce manufacturing cost. <P>SOLUTION: An optical path control sheet 10 includes an optical path adjustment section composed of unit components (unit lenses 7) arranged in parallel on both faces, which are composed of columnar components which converge or diverge light by the refractive index difference with air, and has a structure in which a light beam radiated from a cold-cathode tube is diffused so that the luminance distribution becomes uniform over substantially a whole face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
