<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal panel having a high contrast ratio in an oblique direction. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal panel includes a liquid crystal cell, a first polarizer disposed on one side of the liquid crystal cell, and a second polarizer disposed on the opposite side of the liquid crystal cell, characterized in that at least one polarizer of the first polarizer and the second polarizer is dyed with a dichroic substance and shows a dichroic ratio of 40 to 100.
