<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a horizontal-stripe secondary battery capable of supplying power in accordance with demand such as response to a peak load, and a power generating unit equipped with the horizontal-stripe secondary battery and a solid oxide fuel battery bundle. <P>SOLUTION: The horizontal-stripe secondary battery is made up by arranging a plurality of units consisting of an anode, solid oxide electrolyte, and a cathode, combining each adjacent units electrically in series through an interconnector, filling an oxidation reduction material in a hollow part of the porous support body, and gas-sealing either end of the porous support body.
