<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device, more particularly, an array substrate for the liquid crystal display device and a method of manufacturing the substrate. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention is characterized in that when data wiring lines and thin film transistors are fabricated on an array substrate for the liquid crystal display device, an active layer is not exposed beyond the data wiring line and beyond the gate electrode. The array substrate for a liquid crystal display device including the above configuration is manufactured in three mask processes. Therefore, the liquid crystal display device has no photo-current generating in the active layer by light, which is advantageous to minimize wavy noises and characteristics of a leak current in a thin film transistor, and the cost and time can be saved by simplification in the mask process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
