PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch preventing a malfunction occurring in one sprag from affecting the whole sprag in the one-way clutch with sprags arranged axially in a plurality of rows. SOLUTION: This one-way clutch includes an inner ring 2, an outer ring 3, the plurality of sprags 4 arranged axially in the plurality of rows between the inner and outer rings 2, 3 and also arranged at predetermined intervals in a peripheral direction in respective rows, and a retainer 5 having a plurality of pockets for individually storing the plurality of sprags 4. The retainer 5 has an outer retainer 7 retaining radial outer parts of the sprags 4 and an inner retainer 8 retaining radial inner parts thereof. At least one of the outer retainer 7 and the inner retainer 8 is composed of a plurality of short cylindrical bodies 8a, 8b axially separated from each other for retaining the sprags 4 at each row.
