PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deterioration of a catalyst by lowering exhaust gas temperature while suppressing useless energy consumption, concerning an alcohol fuel internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: Normally, alcohol and fossil fuel are supplied according to a predetermined basic mixture ratio. However, when the temperature of the catalyst exceeds reference temperature or is expected to exceed the reference temperature, alcohol supply amount is increased from supply amount decided by the basic mixture ratio.
