PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric lock which can be released from an unlocked state only by operating a handle without electric unlocking operation. SOLUTION: The electric lock is formed of a latch bolt 6 retractably mounted in a lock case 5, stoppers 62, 63 energized so as to engage retractably with the latch bolt 6, a retractable latch hub plate 41 for the latch bolt 6, based on the operating of the handle, and a second switching mechanism 200 for switching between an anti-panicking function operable mode and an anti-panicking function inoperable mode. The second switching mechanism 200 is formed of an unlocking member 202 which is rotatable about a spindle 214 and has the spindle 214 held so as to be vertically movable with respect to the lock case 5, and a second switching member 204 which positions the spindle 214 to an upper position or a lower position. When the spindle 214 is located to the lower position by the second switching member 204, the unlocking member 202 is rotated by the latch hub plate 41 rotatable by the operation of the handle 4, and the stoppers 62, 63 are rotated against energizing force.
