PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration-proof coating capable of attaining light weight of a vibration-proof material itself or a driving body using the vibration-proof material itself by reduction of an amount of the vibration-proof material to be used, and to provide a water based acrylate-styrene polymer (A) for obtaining those. SOLUTION: The foaming vibration-proof coating comprises an emulsion of the carboxyl group-containing acrylate-styrene polymer (A) having an average particle diameter of 200-300 nm and an acid value of 10-20 obtained by emulsion polymerization of polyoxyalkylenephenyl ether in the presence of ammonium sulfate, a foaming agent (B), and an inorganic filler (C). Toluene gel persistency of a resin film obtained from the emulsion of the acrylate-styrene polymer (A) is 1 wt.% or lower. A peak value of tanδis 2.5 or higher and a temperature range in which the peak value appears is 25-55°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
