PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve clinical problems of how to safely and effectively suppress hyperlipemia developing in patients suffering from nephrotic syndrome or chronic renal failure with high frequency. SOLUTION: The hyperlipemia caused by the nephrotic syndrome or chronic renal failure can safely and effectively be suppressed by administering antithrombin-III inhibiting the blood coagulation activity of thrombin in a dose of 5-2,000 units/kg body weight/day.
