PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the misalignment of a bundle of sheets when discharging the bundle of sheets from a processing tray to a discharge tray. SOLUTION: An upper guide 34 and a rocking arm 24 are rockingly supported by a driving shaft 38. With the rotation of the driving shaft 38 in the direction of an arrow (a), force on the rocking arm 24 and force F on a meshing portion 63 from a driving gear 60 to a driven gear 61 operate on the rocking arm 24, as moment in the direction of pushing an upper discharge roller 23 against a lower discharge roller 22. The thrust of an energizing member for pushing the upper discharge roller 23 against the bundle of sheets is reduced so that the upper discharge roller well follows the bundle of sheets.
