PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source for suppressing increase in the manufacturing cost and deterioration of performance, while a light emitting element cannot surely generate a light beam, when the light emitting element is tried to be removed and also provide a projector and a monitoring device. SOLUTION: The light source is provided with a light-emitting element 10 for emitting a laser beam, a support member 11 for supporting the light-emitting element 10, a substrate 13 fixed to the support member 11 and electrically connected to the light-emitting element 10, a wire 17 for supplying a current, by electrically connecting the light-emitting element 10 and the support member 11, a cover member 14 for partially transmitting the light beam and covering the light-emitting element 10 fixed to the substrate 13, and a bonding agent 12 for fixing the substrate 13 and the cover member 14. The fixing force of a bonding agent 12, for bonding between the substrate 13 and the cover member 14, is characteristically larger than that between the support member 11 and the substrate 13.
