The present invention relates to an anti-gene oligonucleotide which specifically hybridizes with the gene coding for the human tyrosinase related protein-1 by Hoogsteen pairing between complementary bases, said oligonucleotide forming a triple helix structure with the human tyrosinase related protein-1 gene. The invention also relates to the use of said oligonucleotide as skin depigmenting or whitening agent in a cosmetic composition or a dermatological composition.
