ADHESIVE COMPOSITION, PROCESS FOR PRODUCTION OF THE SAME, AND LAMINATE USING THE SAME

Disclosed is an adhesive composition which can form an adhesive layer having excellent initial adhesion, adhesiveness, heat resistance, wet heat resistance and transparency and can be used as a pressure-sensitive adhesive agent. The adhesive composition comprises: a polyester resin containing a side chain having a hydroxyl group or a carboxyl group and a side chain having no hydroxyl group in a total amount of 5 to 80 wt%; and a cross-linking agent. When the cross-linking agent used in the composition is reactive with a hydroxyl group, the polyester resin has a hydroxyl value of 50 mgKOH/g or less. When the cross-linking agent used in thecomposition is reactive with a carboxyl group, the polyester resin has a hydroxyl value of 100 mgKOH/g or less and an acid value of 50 mgKOH/g or less. The adhesive composition is produced through the steps of: 1) conducting the ring-opening addition polymerization of a dibasic acid and a compound having two cyclic ether groups to form a polyester main chain having a hydroxyl group; 2) conducting the ring-opening addition of a cyclic ester compound to the hydroxyl group to form a side chain; and 3) blocking the hydroxyl group with a blocking compound.
