Water jacket structure of a cylinder block is provided to arrange temperature distribution advantageous in thermal deformation of a cylinder bore. Water jacket structure of a cylinder block comprises a partition(7), and an upper channel(3a) and a lower channel(3b) of a water jacket(3). The water jacket has the partition inside, and respectively partitions a flow passage of cooling water into the upper channel and the lower channel with respect to a stroke direction of a piston by the medium of the partition.
