An indoor unit for an air conditioner is provided to enhance user convenience by independently operating a purifying unit and a heat exchanging unit that are selectively separated from each other. An indoor unit for an air conditioner comprises a blowing unit(400), a purifying unit(200), and a heat exchanging unit(300). The blowing unit produces a current of air to suck and discharge indoor air. The purifying unit sucks indoor air to purify the sucked air. The heat exchanging unit allows indoor air to transfer heat using refrigerant. The blowing unit includes a purification-blowing member(420) installed in the purifying unit and a heat exchange-blowing member(440) installed in the heat exchanging unit. |
