Method for cooling a reactor comprises using a heat exchanger having partially porous structured or rough surfaces on the side of the vaporizing liquid. An independent claim is also included for a reactor with an integrated heat exchanger. Preferred Features: The temperature difference between the reaction medium inside the reactor and the vaporizing liquid is more than 35[deg] C, preferably more than 50[deg] C to 200[deg] C. The heat exchanger has a porous structured surface with regularly arranged pores on the side of the vaporized liquid.
