A musical sound generating apparatus and method, and a computer readable recording medium having program for a vehicle are provided to set a play area of musical sound data stored in a memory unit and to play some of the musical sound data corresponding to the play area so as to play the musical sound changing according to vehicle conditions without parameter change. A musical sound generating vehicular apparatus comprises a vehicle condition detecting unit(11), a storage unit, a musical sound playback unit(3), and a control unit(1). The musical sound playback unit plays the musical sound data stored in the storage unit. The control unit determines a playback section of the musical sound data stored in the storage unit in accordance with the vehicle control condition and controls the musical sound playback unit to play the determined playback section of the musical sound data. An environmental condition detection unit(12) detects the environmental condition of the vehicle.
