<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door handle device, having water proofness and breaking resistance. <P>SOLUTION: This door handle device including: a base member 10 fixed to the back side 42 of a door panel; and an operating member 20 disposed on the base member 10 from the door panel surface side 41, the tip part of one end side is supported by the base member 10 to open and close a door, is provided with a static capacity sensor 51 including two detecting electrodes A, B, a detecting electrode switching circuit 52 and a control means 50 for controlling the static capacity sensor 51.
