APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DRIVING INK JET PRINT HEAD

An apparatus and a method for driving an inkjet print head are provided to prevent crosstalk between nozzles and to discharge ink continually by stabilizing the drop velocity of discharged ink on the nozzle surfaces within a short time. An apparatus for driving an inkjet print head comprises a timing controller(110), a memory(120), a digital-analog converter(130) and an amplifier(140). The timing controller receives an external signal for driving the inkjet print head and outputs a timing control signal. The memory outputs pre-stored driving waveform data according to the timing control signal. The digital-analog converter converts the driving waveform data outputted from the memory into an analog signal. The amplifier amplifies the converted analog signal to driving voltage of the inkjet print head.
