PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document summarizer for word processor mainly for an author. SOLUTION: Statistics are analyzed and the order list of sentences considered in a summary is generated. The appearance frequency of consent words in a document is calculated and the related list of the content words and frequency is generated. A clause compression method is used and the more precise counting of the clause which is repetitively used is generated. The frequency of the content words in the sentence is summed up and it is divided by the number of the content words in the sentence. Then, respective sentence points are obtained. An order is given to the sentences in the order of the sentence points. A sign clause is analyzed in the same path through the document in parallel to the analysis of statistics and the sentence having the word or clause which is previously specified as the clause having the possibility of a problem is removed. The clause of the sentence is compared with the list of the words and the clauses in analysis and a use condition in the summary of the sentence containing them is decided. The summary containing the sentence of a high- order is generated. When the established condition on the containing of the sentence with the condition is satisfied, the summary can contain the sentence. The sentence is inserted into the head of the document before a text is started. |
