<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a color shift in color printing in an electrophotographic device having a plurality of element arrays. <P>SOLUTION: This electrophotographic device comprises an exposing head wherein the plurality of element arrays each having light emitting elements arranged in a staggered fashion in two or more lines are provided to respective image forming stations corresponding to each of a plurality of recording colors. The electrophotographic device further comprises a photosensitive body for forming an electrostatic latent image by the exposing light of the exposing head, an image development sleeve for forming a toner image on the photosensitive body by supplying toner to the electrostatic latent image, and a CPU 111 that selects one of the element arrays to be used for the printing with respect to each of the exposing heads corresponding to a printing condition including a printing resolution designated by a user and performs correction of a color shift by controlling a driving start timing of each of the exposing heads according to the selected results. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
