A voice data recording method in a portable terminal and a device therefor are provided to record bidirectional voice data transceived during a call to store the recorded data in each folder, and to merge each of the stored voice data to store the merged data, thereby storing the bidirectional voice data even in a portable terminal applied with Qualcomm CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) MSM chipset. A terminal checks whether a recording event occurs by a user during a call(201). If so, the terminal records transmission voice data as recording reception voice data(203). The terminal individually stores the recorded voice data in a voice memory unit(205). The terminal checks whether a recording process is terminated by the user(207). If so, the terminal merges the respectively stored transmission and reception voice data at the same time slot(209). The terminal stores the merged voice data as new voice data(211). |
