A power line communication sensor, a security system comprising the same, and a method for registering information about the same are provided to reduce the number of signal lines in an installation process by using a power line communication manner. One or more PLC(Power Line Communication) sensors(230,250) output abnormal state information by monitoring a guarding area. A main unit(210) includes a first PLC communication part(207) and transmits the abnormal state information to a control system through a network. The first PLC communication part communicates with the PLC sensors in a power line communication manner in order to receive the abnormal state information. Each of the PLC sensors includes a second PLC communication part(233) for communicating with the first PLC communication part, a sensor part(231) for monitoring a part of the guarding area, and a sensor control part(237) for transferring the abnormal state information to the second PLC communication part and making the second PLC communication part transmit the information to the main unit. |
