发明名称 MONOLITHIC FRAMEWORK ENGINE MOUNTING STRUCTURE
摘要 #CMT# #/CMT# The structure has a monolithic framework (20), constructed by smelting or welding, covered with mechanically assembled covering panels (40) made of composite material. Reinforcement fittings (30) are mechanically secured to the jet engine and/or wings fastening points (26). The fittings are added to the framework in order to double the points. The framework defines ribs (22) and corner supports (24). #CMT# : #/CMT# An independent claim is also included for a method of manufacturing a box type aircraft engine mounting structure. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Used for suspending an engine e.g. jet engine, of an aircraft (claimed) below the wings of the aircraft or for mounting the engine above the wings to transmit the efforts generated by the engine to the aircraft structure and to allow the path for fuel, air and electrical and hydraulic systems between the engine and the aircraft. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The integration of the monolithic framework reduces the weight of the framework and its manufacturing time, by avoiding the mechanical redundancies caused by fixations. The reinforcement fittings, present in less number and with simplified form, provide a `fail safe` function so that damage to the structure of the framework is compensated by the fittings. The double structure formed by the integration of the monolithic framework and the mechanically assembled panels permits to observe low cost, less weight, and safety criteria by reducing the risks of rupture at the junctions. The covering panels have a simple function of covering skins and can have less stiffness, thus lending without difficulty, during the mounting, to the form given by the framework, and hence enabling economical manufacture and implementation. The mounting structure therefore permits excellent tolerance to damage, while allowing a significant gain due to the integration, in the framework, of the primary pathways for the introduction of efforts. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The drawing shows a view of a box-type aircraft engine e.g. jet engine, mounting structure. 20 : Monolithic framework 22 : Ribs 24 : Corner supports 26 : Jet engine and/or wings fastening points 30 : Reinforcement fittings 40 : Covering panels #CMT#METALLURGY : #/CMT# The monolithic framework is made of titanium.
