METHOD ON BEACON SCHEDULING FOR WIRELESS NETWORK WITH MESH FUNCTIONALITY

A method for avoiding beacon collision on a short wireless mesh network is provided to set a beacon transmission time among nodes differently for preventing the collision of beacons, thereby constructing a network configuration more stably. A beacon dedicated section is positioned in the front of a super frame capable of performing communication among all nodes. The size of the beacon dedicated section is variable. If a first sensor node receives the beacon of a coordinator to connect with a short wireless mesh network, the coordinator knows the existence of the first sensor node. The coordinator determines the beacon transmission time of the first sensor node avoiding its beacon transmission time and transmits the determined beacon transmission time to the first sensor node.
