There is disclosed a vehicle door (600) comprising an outer panel (110) and an inner panel (120), wherein the panels (110, 120) are mutually adjoined to form a three-dimensional structure for the door (600). The panels (110, 120) are mutually attached together along a bottom edge (60, 310) of the door (600) at one or more attachment regions (320) and the panels (110, 120) between the one or more attachment regions (320) are disposed in a substantially spaced apart manner so as to form one or more elongate drainage and ventilation apertures in a region of the bottom edge (60, 310). The one or more elongate apertures have a combined elongate length which is more than 50% of a length of the bottom edge (60, 310) of the door (600). The bottom edge (60, 310) is thereby substantially devoid of any form of folded joint, for example a hemming joint, mutually fixating the outer panel (110) and inner panel (120) together.
