METHOD OF EQUALIZATION FOR TDS-OFDM RECEIVER AND APPARATUS THEREOF

An equalizing method of a TDS-OFDM(Time Domain Synchronous-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) receiver and an equalizing apparatus using the equalizing method are provided to reduce an ICI(Inter-Carrier-Interference) and to improve performance of a system by lowering complexity during equalizing. An equalizing apparatus using the equalizing method includes a correlator(110) calculating a correlation on the basis of a baseband sampled complex signal and a local pseudo-noise and outputting a calculated correlation signal. A CIR(Channel Impulse Response) estimating device(120) estimates a CIR on the basis of a signal outputted from the correlator. A channel information calculating device(130) calculates channel information including first channel information and second channel information on the basis of the estimated CIR outputted the CIR estimating device. A first FFT(Fast Fourier Transform) transforms a compensated signal outputted from a pre-FFT(160) through a FFT. An equalizer(140) equalizes a signal outputted from the first FFT on the basis of the second channel information outputted from the channel information calculating device.
