A light source unit and a back light assembly including the same are provided to improve the brightness of the back light assembly by preventing the bend of the light source and increase a radiation function by a PCB. A light source unit(130) includes a light source(135) and a preventing bend part. The light source is formed by at least one of light emitting diodes which are packed. The preventing bend part is arranged by mounting a plurality of the light source units on one side of the prevent bend part. The preventing bend part extends in a first direction to another surface corresponding to the side of the prevent bend part. The prevent bend part has a predetermined width. A back light assembly includes the light source unit, a light guide plate(120), an optical sheet(110), a container(150), and a reflecting sheet(140). The reflecting sheet is located between the light guide plate and the container and reflects leaked light upward.
