An in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to improve brightness by preventing occurrence of a disclination line in a pixel region. An in-plane switching mode liquid crystal display device includes a first substrate, a plurality of pixels, a second substrate, a black matrix, a color filter, and a liquid crystal layer. The plurality of pixels has a first pixel and a second pixel. The first pixel has a common electrode(170) and a pixel electrode(160) which are located with an interval to the first substrate parallel. The second pixel is formed repeatedly by symmetric to the first pixel electrode. The second substrate opposes to the first substrate. The black matrix is formed by corresponding to the plurality of pixels on the second substrate. The color filter is formed by having one to one correspondence to the plurality of pixels. |
