METHOD FOR RESOURCE ALLOCATION AND PACKET DATA UNIT CREATION IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method for resource allocation and PDU(Packet Data Unit) creation in a communication system is provided to allocate uplink resources using an extended sub header in the communication system to remove a bandwidth allocation code transmission process, thereby reducing time necessary for a signal connection to perform a signal connection process quickly, and reducing system overhead. A BS(Base Station)(120) transmits a PDU including the extended sub header of an uplink resource allocation type to a terminal(110)(S310). The terminal processes the PDU and creates an uplink PDU for a message to be transmitted to the BS(S320). The terminal transmits a BR(Bandwidth Request) header to the BS using uplink resources allocated through the extended sub header after a frame offset recorded in the extended sub header passes(S330). The BS allocates the uplink resources to the terminal, includes uplink resource information into an UL-MAP(Uplink-MAP), and transmits the UL-MAP to the terminal(S340). The terminal transmits PDU to the BS using the allocated uplink resources.
