A system and a method for recognizing input data automatically are provided to recognize input data in real-time regardless of a time and a location by checking a time point representing a user intention and input information corresponding to the checked time point when a user expresses minimum action representing the user intension for the desired input. A sensing device(100) captures expression of a user with a camera and transfers a captured image. A recognizer(200) sets a time point when the expression of the user is suddenly changed by analyzing the image received from the sensing device, and extracts data selected as input information from the image displayed through a display unit(300) in the set time point. The image displayed through the display unit is a menu or a keyboard image. The data selected as the input information is continuously changed as time passes. The data selected as the input information is selected according to a position of a cursor moving on the image.
