A plasma display device is provided to minimize a noise from a space between upper and lower plates by adjusting a height of a barrier rib in an outermost dummy cell to be different from that in an effective region discharge cell. A plasma display panel includes an upper substrate(10) and a lower substrate(20). Scan and sustain electrodes(11,12) are formed on the upper substrate. Address electrodes(22) are formed on the lower substrate. The PDP(Plasma Display Panel) includes plural discharge cells and effective and non-effective regions. The discharge cells are partitioned by a barrier rib. The PDP contains lead less than 1000 ppm. A barrier rib height of a dummy cell in the non-effective region is smaller than that of the discharge cell in the effect region. The height of the dummy cell lies on between 80 and 120 mum.
