A roll back device for a brake pad is provided to prevent partial abrasion due to drag between the brake pad and a disc by installing a restoring member for rolling back the brake pad with the restoring force. A roll back device for a brake pad comprises a pad(1) as a friction member, a back plate(5), a chamfer block(13), and a restoring member(17). The back plate attached to the back surface of the pad has a mounting groove(7) inserted into a mounting end of a caliper at two ends. The chamfer block, which is protruded toward the outside of the mounting groove formed at two ends of the back plate, includes a chamfer groove at the center with a predetermined length. The restoring member fitted into the chamfer groove has a restoring member(17) whose one portion is engaged to the back plate toward the thickness direction, and remaining portion is engaged to one side of the mounting end in the caliper. The restoring member is shaped like a ring and made of rubber material.
