TRANSIENT VOLTAGE PROTECTION DEVICE AND DISPLAY HAVING THE SAME

A transient voltage protection circuit and a display having the same are provided to improve reliability by outputting only input power with a normal voltage through a logical operation device. A transient voltage protection circuit includes an input terminal(Vin), an output terminal, a switching unit, and a transient voltage sensing unit. The transient voltage sensing unit includes a first transient voltage discharge device(11), a second transient voltage discharge device(12), and a logical operation device(13). The first transient voltage discharge device senses a positive transient voltage and discharges the positive transient voltage through a ground terminal. The second transient voltage discharge device senses a negative transient voltage and discharges the negative transient voltage through the ground terminal. The logical operation device outputs a turn-on signal only when a result of AND gate logical operation for input signals from the input terminal and the first and second transient voltage discharge devices is right.
