LIGHT GUIDE PLATE AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY DEVICE USING THE SAME

A light guide plate and a liquid crystal display device using the same are provided to improve image quality by removing the non-uniformity of brightness and a bright line which continuously appears at a specific position. A light guide plate includes a light receiving part(120) for receiving light, a lateral surface facing the light receiving part, an upper surface for outputting the light, and a bottom surface facing the upper surface. The width and depth of a prism pattern(114) are increased from the light receiving part to the later surface facing the light receiving part on one selected from the upper surface and the bottom surface. The upper surface is level. The bottom surface has a rising tilt from the light receiving part. A ratio of the width and depth of the prism pattern is 1 to 2.
