USB BOOTING TERMINAL AND METHOD

A USB(Universal Serial Bus) booting terminal and a method thereof are provided to prevent reboot of a USB device in a low battery state by detecting an edge when the USB device is connected to the terminal, and realize excellent mounting ability by applying no additional transistor for preventing the reboot of the USB device. An I/O(Input/Output) connector(160) is used for a USB device(170) and a power manager(150) detects a power level of a battery(120). A controller(130) boots the USB device when the power level of the battery is a low state and an edge corresponding to connection of the USB device is detected, and reboots the USB device when the next edge is not detected. An output part(110) outputs a low battery state alarm. The controller turns off power through the power manager after booting the USB device when the power level of the battery is the low state. The controller does not reboot the USB device when the next edge is not found even if the power level of the battery is the low state and a USB bus of the I/O connector is in a high level.
