A cooking vessel and a method for removing floating matters in the cooking vessel are provided to protect foods being cooked within the vessel while removing the floating matters in the vessel, by forming an outer vessel higher than an inner vessel for guiding overflowing floating matters to a space between the outer and inner vessels. A method for removing floating matters in a cooking vessel(100) comprises the steps of: putting foods to be cooked into an inner space(121) of an inner vessel(110) of the cooking vessel comprising the inner vessel and an outer vessel(120) which is higher than the inner vessel; heating the cooking vessel for cooking the foods; and adding a material whose specific gravity is larger than floating matters on a surface of the foods to be cooked for removing the floating matters by guiding overflowing floating matters to a space(111) between the inner and outer vessels.
