A data transmission method using Bluetooth and a terminal thereof are provided to connect Bluetooth communication automatically between a PC(Personal Computer) terminal and a mobile terminal, and to notify the PC terminal that a call or a text message is received in the mobile terminal, or to send contents of the text message to the PC terminal. A signal power value measurer(112) measures an instant signal power value or a unit signal power value. A controller(116) calculates a distance between a mobile terminal(110) and another terminal by using the instant signal power value and the unit signal power value, and automatically connects Bluetooth communication with another terminal if the calculated distance is within a user set range. A Bluetooth module unit(118) transceives a Bluetooth signal with another terminal.
