A service method of location information of a sender in a mobile terminal is provided to transmit the location information to a receiver's terminal by pressing a selection menu in a message editing screen. A receiver terminal number is inputted through a short message editing screen of a sender terminal and the location information of the sender terminal is requested(ST13). Thereafter, the request signal is transmitted to a service server for providing the location information through an SMS(Short Message Service) route. The location information of the sender terminal at the service server is obtained and thereafter a location information file is edited(ST16). Thereafter, the service server transmits the location information file to the receiver terminal through the SMS route(ST17). A selection menu for requesting the sender location information is equipped to the SMS editing screen. The location information is provided by pressing the selection menu.
