The invention relates to a method for keeping a solid support material in suspension within a fluid medium of a container, said method comprising moving said container in a circular path about a first axis of rotation; and simultaneously rotating said container about a second axis of rotation that is generally parallel to said first axis of rotation to thereby keep said solid support material in suspension within said fluid medium of said container by the combined movement and rotation of said container about said first and second axes of rotation.
