A method for fabricating a semiconductor element is provided to embody a precise image according to an inputted image signal by forming a structure having high uniformity of a patterned semiconductor region while avoiding crosstalk between adjacent patterned semiconductor regions. A continuous organic semiconductor layer is formed on a substrate(5). Solvent(8) is supplied to second regions(12) on the continuous organic semiconductor layer and an organic semiconductor material positioned in the second regions is solved to be removed from the continuous organic semiconductor layer so that a semiconductor element having the substrate with a patterned structure(10) of the organic semiconductor material is fabricated. The patterned structure includes a plurality of first regions(11) and the plurality of second regions. Each first region has an organic semiconductor material having the same thickness as a first thickness or a thickness greater than the first thickness. Each second region doesn't have an organic semiconductor material or has a thickness not greater than a second thickness. The solvent can be supplied to the second regions by an inkjet printing method.
